Queen Elizabeth Towers stands on the corner of Bronson Ave and Laurier Ave, across the street from the Tech Wall Dog Park and Nanny Goat Hill Garden. Built between 1976 and 1977 these sister buildings stand at 26 stories and contain over 200 units each. Being located on the west side of Laurier, these condominiums are on the edge of Centretown where you are still within the downtown area but without the downtown traffic.
Majority of the units feature hardwood flooring, high ceilings, expansive windows, tiled flooring in the bathroom, spacious closets, and a large private balcony overlooking downtown Ottawa or The Ottawa River. The majority of the kitchens feature lots of cabinet space, tiled backsplash, and a gallery window overlooking the dining room or living room.
The amenities at Queen Elizabeth Towers includes a large indoor pool with sauna and hot tub, a fitness centre, a large party room with a lounge and fireplace, a billiards room, and a private landscaped garden.
Within a short distance you are at the Byward Market where you can find some of the best restaurants, cafes, cupcake and donut shops, and the open air market that is open from spring to early fall. If you are in the mood to shop, Rideau Shopping Centre and Nordstrom is a short distance away, it also conveniently has a Farm Boy and Shoppers located on the first level towards Rideau St.
Being centrally located you are within walking distance of the Lyon LRT Station. To be exact, it is a 5 minute walk to the train. It will take you either to Tunney’s Pasture Station or to the east end at Blair Station. Living so close to a LRT station will cut down not only your commute time but as well as potentially eliminating any connections you would have had to take at the Rideau Centre.
Residents at the Queen Elizabeth Towers with dogs are within a two minute walk to one of three well known fenced in dog parks in downtown Ottawa. Tech Wall Dog Park is located on the corner of Slater St and Bronson Ave. This dog park has lots of room for your dog to run and play and is also the most infamous spot to get some pretty awesome Instagram photos with the graffiti wall in the background. The dog park is open from 5am till 11pm.
