Residents of 199 Kent are within walking distance of Bank St that has some of the best restaurants, diners, cafes, and boutiques. Residents at The Kent Towers with dogs are within a 17 minute walk to one of the three well known fenced in dog parks in downtown Ottawa. Jack Purcell Park is located on the corner of Frank St and Elgin Street, just down the street from Elgin Street Diner. Jack Purcell Park has a two gate entrance. The first gate allows you to prepare your dog to enter the fenced in dog park where there is also a water fountain for your use and a spout closer to the ground for your dog. The second gate allows you into the park where there is lots of room for your dog to play as well as some shaded benches and tables to relax at. The park is open from 6am to 10pm and closed from 10pm to 6am.
